Interview with musician, Aaron Gage: By Katie Ewles
Aaron Gage is a Baltimore-based composer, cellist, vocalist, pianist, and guitarist. He recently graduated with his MM in Composition from the Peabody Conservatory. Aaron has been a local street musician since 2011 when he began experimenting with a friend in a cello-viola and vocal duet. Since, Aaron has gained a reputation as a solo performer, particularly as a cellist and vocalist. He can be found several days of the week at Fells Point, the Inner Harbor, or various spots in Bethesda, Gaithersburg, and Silver Springs, MD.
In 2015, Aaron experienced National recognition when a video of him performing the popular song Over the Rainbow was published to Youtube. The video, shot at the RIO Washingtonian Center, was later posted to Reddit, and quickly went viral, racking up over 100,000 views in the first couple weeks after publishing.
